A Numbered Asian Delight

Yes, another Asian restaurant. Lol. Well, I live in Richmond, BC - the hub of the Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos, Vietnamese, and basically all things Asian in Canada.

If there's one Chinese restaurant in Richmond that my friends and I wouldn't mind going to any given day, it's Number 9 no doubt! We have been frequent diners (as well as many others I'm sure) to this well-known restaurant in the heart of downtown Richmond. And the times we've been there, it is often abuzz with people, a sure sign of the quality of food they serve. Price is right too, the average cost of a meal being about $10 each person.

Battle of the Ramen: Kintaro

Part 2!

I have mentioned in my previous post that we wanted to go this famous Ramen place but ended up going to a totally different one, but no regrets there of course.

A week after that, we finally scheduled to go to Kintaro, the one in downtown Vancouver. Coming from Richmond, it wasn't a really hard commute - a Canada Line, bus, and a bit of walking - and you're there. And yes, you would want to commute, as there's no parking available - it is downtown so no surprise there.

Battle of the Ramen: Ajisen

 Tenderous Ribs Ramen

Around the start of fall, when the winds started to pick up, so is my craving for some hot noodle soup. It was then so timely that one of my friends discovered this famous Ramen place in one of his trips in downtown Vancouver. A schedule was then made to check that place out on our next Sunday get together.

Pasta Tuesday @ Boston Pizza

Food is always better when eaten with a bunch of your friends around.

Boston Pizza is already a household name in Canada, it being the number one place to hang out at whenever it's game day for the Canucks. And what makes Boston Pizza more appealing on a Tuesday game day is its Pasta Tuesday, when costs of their pasta menu start at $6.99 which is a sweet deal.

Sun Sui Wah, Truly Dim Sum

Sunday is always something to look forward to. Besides hearing a great sermon at church, there's almost always an after-service fellowship that my friends and I would share over lunch. After church service when the last worship song ends, our first question will always be, "Where to for lunch?" As we all apparently didn't have time to eat breakfast, eating out is a very-welcomed idea. And after half an hour deciding where to eat (I do not exaggerate on this, and this despite us all saying, "Anywhere is fine. I just want food!"), we'd finally head out to our restaurant of choice.

My Korean Food Craving: Jang Mo Jib

Annyeong Ha Sae Yo!

I guess it's about time I share the love I have for Korean food, which came to be only because I absolutely love watching Korean drama. They not only offer great romance comedy series, their food is often showcased and almost always looks enticing. From Kimchi Fried Rice, Black Bean Noodle, to Korean Beef Stew - I wanted to try them all! And believe me, I craved for months as there isn't a lot of Korean restaurants in Manila (that I know of) and my friends aren't really into Korean food. Either reason, I didn't get to eat Korean food whenever I wanted to.
